Drugs in the Valley- Problem, Treatment, Hope for the Future VIRTUAL CONFERENCE

Drugs in the Valley- The Problem, Treatment, and Hope for the Future will be held online 10/22/2020 via Zoom.  Attendance is only $30 for non-Sigma members, $25 for active Sigma members, $10 for graduate students, and free for all undergraduate students.  This is perfectly timed for anyone about to renew their license in October in need of a few more contact hours!  If unable to attend 10/22, don’t fret!!  We will be recording the session and it will be available as an enduring format for ONE YEAR after that you can view at your convenience and still earn the 6.75 contact hours!! Simply still just register, and after the live event you will receive a link to the recorded format for your viewing. 
We are very excited about the line up, as speakers will be addressing the stigmas associated with substance use disorder and how we as providers can address/resolve these, how the homeless population in the Lehigh Valley area is affected by substance use disorder, review of different MAT therapies, as well as herbals/vaping and drug screenings. We have a nurse from Grandview alongside an MD from CHOP that will be sharing their experiences with neonatal abstinence syndrome and a new protocol their hospital started, as well as an open panel discussion where the Allentown PD, Kolbe Academy, and Neighborhood Health Centers will be sharing their experiences to relate the day’s information to our neighborhood per se in the Lehigh Valley, as well as answer audience questions!
